How do plants clean the air?

There is a clear link between plants and air quality. Plants naturally remove irritants from the air, and often use them in their own life process. By removing irritants, plants leave people feeling healthier and more-alert, all while creating a welcoming environment. Being surrounded by nature and greenery has also been proven to reduce stress and help people relax.

You can give any interior environment a natural boost by incorporating plants into your decor. It’s important to choose plants that suit the rooms light level and average temperature. To fully gain the health benefits of plants, you should also consider what room they will be used in to create perfect synergy.

The main usage times of an interior environment should also be considered before choosing plants.  For example, not all plants are able to release oxygen at night, and the vast majority actually release carbon dioxide during darker house instead. Therefore, if your interior space is used 24/7, you should choose a plant that continues to release oxygen during the night-time.
